ALTERNATIVE STRATEGIES

INTEGRATION STRATEGIES
 
Forward Integration:  NO

We won't pursue this type of  strategy as we are just starting. We still dont have that potential to control or take enough ownership of  distributors or retailers, do to the fact that we are still a small business, we must get going on simple but very efficient actions.

 
Backward Integration: YES

We will pursue this strategy as we believe that we can create ownership in our suppliers. by taking ownership  towards our suppliers, we can easily acquire better materials, gaining experience and a wider and bigger advantage. We are planning to buy the Centro de Acopio, in order to get our own materials, in this case, recycled.

 
Horizontal Integration: NO

We won't pursue the horizontal strategy becuase, even though it is very important to gain control over competitors in order to avoid newer one's, we still dont have enough experience and potential to fullfill this strategy, as we are jut starting from the beginning. Still this strategy is something that has to be taken into account once the company gets stronger.

 
 
INTENSIVE STRATEGIES
 
Market Penetration: YES

We´ll use this strategy trought the use of social media, getting into more and more market share, by the use of more social web sites. This strategy allow us to have a bigger participation on the market, therefore increase sales.

 
Market Development: YES

When production activities get more eficient, the distribution will get spread to main cities of the country. Using online retailng and cooporate aliances, with distribution companies.

 
Product Development: YES

As the company gets bigger, the production activities will be more effitient, so the company will spread its production activities in order to produce more products, and not only the initial ones. Getting on this way a bigger a acceptance from consumers. Also improving the current ones, so the costumers get more value from the products.

 
DIVERSIFICATION STRATEGIES
 
Related Diversification: YES

This strategy will led Feijoa's Accessories to expand the business. adding the Clutch, a new and  related product to the business will be a benefit and a great strategy for the company.

 
Unrelated Diversification: YES

As we already said with the Backward integration, we are planning (in a long-term objective) to buy the Centro de Acopio for our materials. Still its a totally different industry, as its priority is to collect and sell materials, recycling.

 
DEFENSIVE STRATEGIES
 
Retrenchment: NO

This strategy will be used only as a contention in the case that sales drop to much. The idea is to use it before the company gets to the point of no return.

 
Divestiture & Liquidation: NO

This two strategies are meant for not to use them, only if there is an extrem case that the company fails in all its financial aspects.
